Who We Are
National Floor Plans was founded in 2004 by Nicolas Rioux. Nick was an architecture student at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, with a part time weekend job getting experience in the residential real estate industry. A broker asked if he could draw a floor plan of a condo that was being marketed for sale, to help buyers understand the space. Other brokers started asking and the idea soon took off. Architects and interior designers would receive our floor plans from buyers, and they realized the plans were as accurate as their in house teams produce. They began requesting CAD files and soon started outsourcing their existing conditions field work to NFP.
NFP is still a small business, based in Boston. We have since expanded our team to include a group of architects, drafters, photographers, photo editors and support staff. Our business has grown steadily, and we’re proud to still work with many of the same initial real estate & architect clients after 20 years.
What We Do
The National Floor Plans Partner Program allows photographers and appraisers to offer high quality architectural floor plans, ANSI square footage calculations and CAD files to their clients. You provide a Matterport scan and we handle the floor plan drafting and answer any questions regarding square footage.
